The Chaffee football team fell to 0-3 with its 42-0 home loss to Hayti on Friday.

The Red Devils passed for 200 yards but were held to 23 yards on 26 carries.

Freshman quarterback Cody Payne was 13 of 26 for 161 yards in the loss.

Tyson Estes had five rushes for 19 yards and led the defense with nine tackles.

Mike Rutherford recorded seven catches for 87 yards, while Charlie Montgomery caught two passes for 51 yards.

Hayti led 8-0 at the half.

"We played good the first half," Chaffee coach Charlie Vickery said. "We've just got to learn to put four quarters together."

Chaffee will host Festus St. Pius on Friday.

Park Hills 35, Perryville 14

The Pirates dropped to 0-3 with their home loss.

Perryville travels to Potosi on Friday.

Notre Dame 11, Poplar Bluff 0

The Bulldogs improved to 9-0 with the road win.

Hali Rendleman connected for two doubles, while Sadie Schaefer had a double and went 2 for 3.

Brianne Sanders went 2 for 5, and Summer Burger chipped in a double.

Katie Bond picked up the win to improve to 9-0 this season by striking out three and allowing three hits over five innings.
