Pearl Watkins, 92, longtime Butler County resident, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

Mrs. Watkins was born March 10, 1918, in Butler County. She enjoyed quilting and needlework. She was a member of Calvary General Baptist Church.

She was married to Cecil Watkins, who preceded her in death April 25, 1995.

Survivors include two sons, Wendell and James Watkins of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Margaret Ban of Springfield, Mo.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at Fitch-Hillis Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with the Revs. Herbert Payne and Dean Jaggers officiating. Burial will be in Shain Cemetery.

The family requests memorials be made to Calvary General Baptist Church or the charity of your choice.
