Donald Myers

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Donald Ray Myers, 54, of Perryville died Monday, Sept. 20, 2010, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Feb. 26, 1956, in Perryville, son of the late Allen and Margaret Biri Myers. He and Sony McGowan were married July 11, 1983.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Kimberly Kleinschmidt of Perryville, Shawna (David) Lane of Oklahoma, Chris (Darrell) Kempfer of Chester, Ill.; a son, Tim (Lou-Ann) O'Dell of Perryville; a brother, Darrell Biri; two sisters, Linda Schumer and Kathy Franklin, all of Perryville; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lee Myers.

Myers was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was of the Baptist belief. He was a member of AmVets and Eagles.

Friends may call from noon to service time today at Young and Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, with Jim Chesnick officiating. Burial will be in Crossroads Methodist Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred for family use.
