Kasten - 55 Years

Mr. and Mrs. R.C. Kasten of Jackson celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary with an open house Aug. 29, 2010, at St. Paul Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall. Hosts were their children.

Kasten and Ruth Ann Eifert were married Aug. 28, 1955, at Eisleben Lutheran Church in Scott City. The Revs. Wilbur Maring and Walter Keisker performed the ceremony.

Their attendants were Lida Mueller, Barbara Hensley, Elsie Eifert; and the groom's brothers, John David, Melvin and Jim Kasten.

The Kastens have three children, Renee (John) Amos and Randy Kasten of Jackson, and Debra Kasten of St. Louis. They have two grandchildren, Michelle (Randy) Dees and Chris Amos; and two great-grandchildren.
