Eugenia Myers, 84, of Cape Girardeau died at 9:55 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, at Ratliff Care Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born on Jan. 3, 1926, in Chicago to Raymond and Marie (Roe) Warren. She married Raymond E. Myers on Oct. 5, 1946, in Hannibal, Mo.

Her life was devoted to her children and grandchildren, and she loved her many pets she had over the years. She was a past member of the First Christian Church in Cape Girardeau and recently attended First General Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.

Myers is survived by three sons, Ray Myers and John (Pam) Myers, both of Cape Girardeau, and Jim (Shannon) Myers of McKinney, Texas; six daughters, Lucinda Myers, Pat (Ron) Clifton, Kathryn Myers, both of Cape Girardeau, Mary (Bob) Pollack of Skokie, Ill., Martha (Jim) Fellows of Cape Girardeau and Jennie Kinder of Troy, Mo.; 14 grandchildren, Tim Clifton, Rachel Merriwether, Greg Hall, Emily Booker, Natalie Seawel, Eric Pollack, Sarah Pollack, Kurt Fellows, Melissa Fellows, Tyler Kinder, James Griffaw, Clayton Myers, James Myers, Erin Myers; and 10 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, on Aug. 15, 2009, her parents and a granddaughter, Amy Clifton.

Services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, at Crain Funeral Home, 829 N. West End Blvd., with the Rev. Dean Jaggers officiating.

Visitation will be from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Safe Harbor Animal Rescue or American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
