BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- The second annual Stars and Stripes Museum Car Show takes place Saturday at Bloomfield.

The show will take place on the grounds of the museum on Highway 25 just north of the Missouri Veterans Cemetery and features a display of award-winning vehicles. There is no admission charge for spectators.

The 2009 show included more than 40 vehicles, said Sue Tippen, who serves as treasurer on the museum's board.

"The entry fee is $15," Tippen said, "and set-up will begin at 8 a.m. and go until noon."

Judging of the vehicles will begin at noon, and the awards presentation will take place at 3 p.m.

Plaques will be presented for best of show, best interior, longest distance and people's choice. There will also be awards given for best paint and the president's choice.

The Stars and Stripes Museum will open its doors by 9 a.m. for the special occasion and will extend its hours into the afternoon.

There is no charge for admission to the museum.
