Audrey L. Wooldridge, 94, of Cape Girardeau passed away Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010, at her home.

She was born Sept. 5, 1916, in St. Louis, daughter of Harry and Bertha Lessing Eggers. She and William Lloyd Wooldridge were married in 1937 in St. Louis. He passed away in 1966.

Audrey was a former bookkeeper at Lemay Bank in St. Louis until retiring to McClure, Ill., in 1978. She was a member of Eastern Star and a former worthy matron. She attended Maple United Methodist Church. She had volunteered at Southeast Missouri Hospital and Saint Francis Medical Center, where she helped in crafts, quilting and donations.

Audrey enjoyed spending quality time with her family, and she had a special love for her daily chocolates and ice cream.

Loving survivors include a son, Robert (Luz) Wooldridge of St. Louis; a daughter, Joyce (Jerry) Cooley of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Ruth (Henry) Boehm and Rita (Richard) Schied of Lady Lakes, Fla.; four granddaughters, Sarah (Gualter) Hill-Reis of Winnipeg, Canada, Leah Hill of St. Louis, Molly (William) Hill-Ford of Carbondale, Ill., Kristina Wooldridge of St. Louis; a grandson, Jonathan Wooldridge of St. Louis; a stepgrandson, Nathan (Tracey) Cooley of Cape Girardeau; and two great-grandchildren, Erica and Megan Cooley of Cape Girardeau.

In addition to her loving husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Dana Kessler.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lorimier Cemetery. Arrangements by McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Southeast Missouri State University Hoover Center, 805 N.
