The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

* A subject was in custody pending formal charges of tampering with evidence and unlawful use of a weapon.

* Michael W. Davis, 42, 1721 Bloomfield St., was arrested on a Scott County warrant for failure to appear for domestic assault.

* Two juveniles were taken into custody for peace disturbance and assault.

* Shaun O. Lavender, 40, 3002 Aspen Drive, was arrested on a San Diego warrant for a traffic offense.

Summons

* David C. Downey, 17, of Chester, Ill., received a summons for trespassing.

Assault

* Domestic assault was reported.

Thefts

* A wallet and checkbook were reported stolen from a vehicle at 548 N. Middle St.

* A flat-screen TV was reported stolen at 1620 David St.

* Cash was reported stolen on Themis Street.

* Rhodes 101, 1624 N. Kingshighway, reported fuel stolen.

* A vehicle was reported stolen at 1819 Sherwood Drive.

* A basement window was reported broken at 2519 Jonquil Lane.

* Security Bank and Trust, 115 N. Fountain St., reported a door damaged.

Miscellaneous

* Fraudulent use of a credit device was reported at 125 Clark Ave.

* A 45-year-old man was placed in protective custody.

* Child abuse was reported.
