Lintner named executive director of Pachyderm Clubs

The board of directors of the National Federation of Pachyderm Clubs has chosen Holly M. Lintner as its executive director. Lintner will be responsible for planning, coordinating and directing the activities of the National Federation of the Grand Order of Pachyderm Clubs, including program coordination, training and supervision of staff, motivation of volunteers, monitoring of income and expenditures, maintenance of offices, club services and the promotion of the Pachyderm organization. Lintner's involvement with the Pachyderm Club began when she joined the SEMO Pachyderm Club in 2004 and was elected to the club's board of directors in 2005. She serves on the SEMO Pachyderm Board as vice chairwoman. Lintner, a native of Poplar Bluff, Mo., most recently served as a consultant to Southeast Missouri Food Bank and previously served as United Way of Southeast Missouri's director of development.

Gifford appointed to Aguirre Newman America board

RICS Americas has announced that Tim Gifford, director of capital markets for Aguirre Newman America has been appointed to its board. RICS Americas is the New York-based regional branch of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the largest global organization for professionals in real estate, construction, valuation and related industries. Gifford will provide strategic counsel on business planning for the Americas region and support corporate strategy of the RICS worldwide organization. Gifford has more than 15 years of experience in capital markets and has advised clients on more than $2 billion in commercial property acquisitions/dispositions and financing in Latin America. He is the son of Drs. Ann and Bob Gifford of Cape Girardeau.

Horgan named chief financial officer at Cape Electrical

Cape Electrical Supply has named John Horgan as the company's new chief financial officer. Horgan joined the company Oct. 1 after seven years at Amdocs Inc. Prior to that he was employed at Olin Metals, Trendmasters and Pretium Packaging in senior financial and operational roles. He began his career with Ernst & Young in St. Louis and spent more than 12 years in public accounting. Horgan is a CPA and holds Horgan holds a BSBA from St. Louis University, where he is completing his MBA. Horgan, a St. Louis native, will be relocating to Cape Girardeau. Cape Electrical Supply operates 21 locations in Missouri, Kentucky, Illinois and Tennessee. The company is an electrical distributor to customers working in construction, industry, communications and utility markets.

Northwestern Mutual adds financial rep

Paul Adell of Sikeston, Mo., has been appointed financial representative by Northwestern Mutual in Cape Girardeau. He will be associated with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network Hahs Group of Cape Girardeau. As financial representative, Adell will join a network of specialists offering an array of products. Before joining Northwestern Mutual Financial Network, Adell was a commercial credit analyst at US Bank in Cape Girardeau. Adell is a native of Kansas City, Mo. He received a bachelor's degree from Missouri State University in 1992. He also received a master's in business administration in 1998 from Rockhurst University.

Agents earn Master GRI designation

Wanda Duncan of Realty Executives of Cape County and Brenda Miller of ERA Cape Realty have earned the Master GRI designation. The Missouri Association of Realtors is one of only four with a Master GRI program that recognizes experience and education in real estate. Missouri has only eight Realtors who have earned the designation.

Green named IAAP Executive of the Year

City engineer Kelly Green was recently selected as the 2010 Executive of the Year for the Girardot Chapter of International Association of Administrative Professionals at its annual Executive Recognition Banquet on Oct. 19. "Kelly is a great leader and is enthusiastic in the continuing improvement of the city," said Bruce Taylor, administrative secretary for the engineering division. IAAP is made up of administrative assistants, office coordinators, executive secretaries, office managers and other professionals. IAAP seeks to enhance individual and collective value and influence, and sets standards of excellence within the business community.
