Ruth Dunn

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Ruth J. Dunn, 84, of Chaffee died Monday, Nov. 15, 2010, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born March 14, 1926, in Hayti, Mo., daughter of William Ray and Agnes Josephine Schott Jones. She and Harold J. Dunn were married May 22, 1946. He preceded her in death July 29, 2010.

Ruth was a member of First United Methodist Church, PEO and Ladies Auxiliary to VFW Post 3127, all in Chaffee.

Survivors include a daughter, Kathy (Charles) Christiansen of Sugar Grove, Ill.; two grandchildren, Adam Christiansen of DeKalb, Ill., Andrew Christiansen of Aurora, Ill.; a sister, Shirley (William "Bill") Rhodes of Chaffee; a brother-in-law, Guy Bunyard of Chaffee; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, James R. Dunn; a brother and two sisters.

Visitation will be after 4:30 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. J. Michael Davis officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Advance, Mo.
