Southeast Missouri State football fans will be able to watch the first playoff game in the program's 104-year history without making the long trip to Cheney, Wash.

It was announced Tuesday that Saturday's contest at Eastern Washington will be televised live on WQWQ, the Heartland's CW, which is channel 12 on Charter Cable. Kickoff is set for 3:05 p.m. local time.

The game is also scheduled to be re-broadcast on WQWQ at 7 p.m. Sunday.

According to a university press release, the broadcast has been made possible courtesy of the office of the president at Southeast. Southeast will partner with KFVS12 for the broadcast.

KFVS, Southeast, the NCAA and two TV stations in Spokane, Wash., all worked together to make the broadcast possible, according to Mike Smythe, KFVS12 vice president and general manager.

KFVS12 sports director Todd Richards is scheduled to be part of the broadcast announcing team in Washington, providing color commentary and local context.

The contest will also be shown on campus at the University Center ballroom.
