After celebrating Christmas with family and friends, keep the holiday celebrations going this week by attending the 66th annual Southeast Missourian Christmas Tournament at the Show Me Center.

This year's tournament will kick off at 9 a.m. today with No. 1 seed Scott County Central, who won the last two championships, vs. Woodland, the tournament's No. 16 seed.

Other teams competing in this year's tournament, in order of seeding, include: Cape Girardeau Central High School, Jackson, Notre Dame, Charleston, Oran, Leopold, Advance, Oak Ridge, Chaffee, Delta, Meadow Heights, Bell City, Scott City and Kelly.

Fans who can't make it to the Show Me Center can keep track of the tournament on semoball.com, which will feature live blogging and chatting during each game and an online scoreboard to see the final results. Photos and video interviews will also be available.

Playing in the Show Me Center is a unique opportunity for the high school players, and the packed arena provides an exciting atmosphere for players and fans alike.

The tournament is a great opportunity to see talent from throughout Southeast Missouri. Consider making it part of your celebrations this week.
