CAIRO, Ill. -- Lovella Newell, 76, of rural Cairo died Friday, Dec. 24, 2010, at the St. Louis University Medical Center in St. Louis.

Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Mound City National Cemetery.
Massie Funeral Home in Mounds, Ill., is in charge of arrangements.
