All the local high school events reported Tuesday to the Southeast Missourian.

Central built a 29-point lead by halftime as it collected its fifth straight victory with a 72-42 victory Tuesday night at Saxony Lutheran in boys baskeball.

James Lane paced the Tigers (12-3) with 20 points, while Curtis Branch added 16 points and T.J. Tisdell had 13.

Branch connected on all three of his 3-point attempts. The junior point guard is 16 of 17 (94.1 percent) on 3-point attempts in his four games since becoming eligible.

Gus Klaus scored a team-high 12 points for Saxony Lutheran (7-9) and Clayton Carver had 10.
