Mr. Richard Watkins, of Chaffee, Mo., let me warm up in his truck, took me for a cup of coffee and stuck with me like a brother. My car had blown a head gasket, a major repair that would inflict significant financial repair costs and days to repair.

Mr. Watkins not once complained or left until knowing I would soon be back on the road. He offered to give up his time and resources to ensure I was taken care of, with genuinely gracious intent. We went to a dealership to obtain a new (used) vehicle. Less than six hours later, I found an acceptable vehicle for purchase and departed late that afternoon. When I insisted he take the small amount of money I could offer to pay for his gas and time, he refused. I was speechless.

I hope Mr. Watkins knows how much I appreciate his generosity. Upon seeing me show up at the last minute for her graduation, the look on my daughter's face was priceless. She graduated with honors, being named valedictorian that night.
