Perryville boys basketball player Ross Moldenhauer is the Southeast Missourian Player of the Week.

The junior guard has helped the Pirates to a 12-4 record this season and a couple of tournament titles.

After winning the Woodland Tournament over Leopold to open the season, Moldenhauer and Perryville claimed the Chester, Ill. Invitational championship on Saturday.

Moldenhauer made four 3-pointers in the title game victory over Saxony Lutheran. He finished with a game-high 27 points in the 61-54 win over the Crusaders.

The Pirates won all three of their tournament games by 10 points or less.

Moldenhauer also finished in double digits in the semifinal round, scoring 19 points in a 57-47 win over New Athens, Ill.

He also added nine points in the Pirates' 63-53 victory over Marissa, Ill. in the opening round of the tournament.
