Mary Horrell

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Mary Helen Horrell, 70, of Chaffee died Monday, Jan. 31, 2011, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Jan. 18, 1941, daughter of John and Colletta Scherer Ziegler. She and Larry J. Horrell were married Oct. 10, 1959.

Mary was an inspector at Thorngate Ltd. in Chaffee. She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and Daughters of St. Ambrose.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Randy (Mona) Horrell, Allan (Micki) Horrell, Brian Horrell, all of Chaffee; seven grandchildren, Andrew Horrell, Whitney Horrell, Aaron Horrell, Olivia Horrell, Bryce Horrell, Kodi Ballard and Kaleb Ballard, all of Chaffee; a brother, Jerome (Berneice) Ziegler of Jackson; four sisters, Laverne (Henry) Heuring of Benton, Mo., Josephine (Kenny) Terry of Ocala, Fla., Joyce (Jerry) Schilling of George West, Texas, and Geralyn (Don) Riley of Blodgett, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Harold and John E. Ziegler; and a sister, Erma Beussink.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Parish prayers will be at 7.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop officiating. Burial will be in St. Ambrose Cemetery.
