McCLURE, Ill. -- Venita F. Daniel, 56, of McClure died peacefully in her home Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011.

She was born May 8, 1954, in Cairo, Ill. She and Theodore Daniel were married April 12, 1974.

Venita attended school in Loves Park, Ill., and graduated in 1972 from Dupo High School in Dupo, Ill.

She had her own unique style. She loved beauty and she loved to create beautiful textures with paint and fabrics. That was obvious from the great pride that she took in all of the work that she did in her home -- it was one of a kind, just like her. She could tell you how to refinish just about anything and she loved to garden and cook.

Venita worked at Hutson's Fine Furniture in Cape Girardeau the past 18 years.

She is survived by a son, Jerome (Mandi) Daniel of Farmington, Mo.; three grandchildren, Payton Daniel of Jackson, Chase and Hailey Daniel of Farmington; her parents, Vern and Earlene Larson of Loves Park; three sisters, Darla (Russ) Narzinski of Fletcher, Mo., Sandy (David) Tucker of Durand, Ill., Paula Gates of Rockford, Ill.; a brother, Joel (Mary) Larson of Loves Park; her mother-in-law, Betty Daniel of Dupo; father-in-law, Robert Daniel of Mississippi; a sister-in-law, Vivian Hinchcliff of Springfield, Ill.; a brother-in-law, Dale Daniel of Georgia; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family; faithful canine companion, Jaeger; and best friend, Debbie Clarke.

Thank you to TIP Hospice and her loving nurse Nettie and all of the nurses that cared for her.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
