Town and Country FCE Club met Feb. 10, with Mary Klaproth as hostess. The pledges to the United States and Missouri flags were repeated, along with the club collect. Devotion was given by Klaproth, entitled "God made my heart a Valentine" and "Ten Commandments for a long and peaceful life."

Darlene McCain, president, opened the meeting by welcoming Margie McAnnally, Inez Knott and Judy Niswonger as guests. It was reported that cupcakes and sodas were delivered to Cottonwood Residential Treatment Center for a Valentine Day party on Feb. 10. Thank you notes from the center were read for the Valentine refreshments and also the Christmas treat bags.

It was announced that the quarterly council meeting will be at 7 p.m. March 3, at the Jackson Extension Center and Town and Country will be in charge of the devotional.

Plans were made for providing refreshments for a St. Patrick's Day Party at Parkview State School, tentatively set for March 17 and to deliver Bingo prizes to the Lutheran Home afterwards. Members completed registration forms to attend the FCE Spring leader training 9:30 to 11:15 a.m. March 21 at the Jackson Extension Center.

Klaproth reported on attending the recent meeting for assignment of compiling Cape Girardeau County Club Reports. She gave information that the tour committee is in the process of making plans for 2011 FCE Club tours.

Programs on healthy house plants and huck toweling were given by Sue Jones. Darlene McCain, assisted by all members, gave the program from Hearth Fire Series #23 on "Person to person, more than skin deep."

Members received Valentine remembrances from their secret pal, along with exchanging Valentine cards and goodies. The hostess gift was presented to Linda Thompson. Refreshments were served by the hostess in a Valentine theme.

St. Mark Eastern Star

Rae Fern Trickey was recently honored with a dinner and program to celebrate have been a member of St. Mark's Chapter #167 Order of the Eastern Star in Cape Girardeau for 75 years.

She joined Dec. 6, 1935 when she was 18 years old.

He sons Jack and Jim Trickey, and their families were present and presented her with a flowers. The chapter presented her with a corsage, a 75-year pin and a certificate.

Also present were Gloria Chaney, associate grand matron, of the Grand Chapter of Missouri Order of the Eastern Star, and Sandy Ortiz, the district deputy grand matron of the 26th District.
