Iva LaRose

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Iva A. LaRose, 91, of Perryville died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011 at Independence Care Center of Perry County in Perryville.

She was born in Menfro, Mo., on Sept. 11, 1919, daughter of the late Walter and Wilma (Bergman) Dickmann. She and Louis J. LaRose were married March 9, 1943. He preceded her in death on Aug. 14, 1990.

Mrs. LaRose graduated in 1936 from Perryville High School and taught school for several years in Perry County schools. She and her husband were farmers for many years. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Farm Bureau in Perryville.

Survivors include a daughter, Kathryn and Steven Lawrence of Denver; a son, David and Holly LaRose of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Homer Dickmann of Cape Girardeau and Dale Dickmann of St. Charles, Mo.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a sister, Fern Cossey.

Visitation will be from 6:30 a.m. until service time today at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. today at the funeral home with the Rev. Matthew Marks officiating.

Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
