IN 1955 when I was hired for my first job, I asked my employer what the Social Security deduction on my paycheck was for. I was told that it was for when I retired at 65, that there would be money for me to retire on. So for the next 50 years, money was deducted from my check as well as my husband's for retirement. Now all I hear is "let's stop paying Social Security to these old people." I paid for it. I deserve it...

MY advice to Charlie Sheen would be to shape up and to work on his sobriety. After he's been sober for maybe 10 or 20 years, then perhaps he can give advice to Lindsay Lohan or any of the others.

TO balance the budget, cut what you give to foreigners. We come first. This is our country and our money, not theirs.

THE vote of the people of Missouri is trying to be canceled by the agribusiness industry who have coerced some, like Donna Lichtenegger, to repeal a law that hasn't even taken effect. This law will protect animals. There's nothing in it that would hurt agribusiness. It's a shame that people in Missouri are being treated like we're ignorant.
