CAIRO, Ill. -- Billy Hugh Blackburn, 81, of Cairo died Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was a Korean War veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to service time Tuesday at First Southern Baptist Church in Cairo.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Tom Hoskins officiating. Burial will be in Mound City National Cemetery, with military honors by area veterans organizations and the U.S. Armed Forces.

Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo is in charge of arrangements.
