I think drive-through windows at most places of business could be closed. The vehicles sit in line with motors running, and the exhaust fumes fill the car as soon as the window is opened. Have we, as a country, gotten so lazy that we can't get out of our cars and walk through the front door to purchase our goods?...

Have we, as a country, gotten so lazy that we can't get out of our cars and walk through the front door to purchase our goods?

Hypocrisy

I find it a bit hypocritical that the Republican Party wants to kill the unions and teacher pay raises, stating we need to lower the budget. However, every year they vote themselves a pay raise and increases in benefits. Seems like it's OK for them and not anyone else.

I wish the city would put darker lines on Mount Auburn Road. It's hard enough to see the lines dividing the lanes in the daytime, and it's almost impossible when the street is wet. I'm not the only one, because I've seen some near collisions.

Building's heritage

Thirty years ago, St. Vincent's Church was to be demolished. Some foresighted people who deeply cared about its heritage and beauty saved it from destruction. Today it's an inspiration, both in its function and aesthetic beauty. Today Franklin School is to be demolished. Where are people who care about this proud school which has been a beacon of education?

Obama inexperienced

I think it should be obvious to everybody by now that President Obama does not have a clue how to turn our economy around. He doesn't have the experience nor the know how. We need somebody with money management experience in the White House.
