Nora A. Neumeyer, 100, of Jackson passed away Sunday, March 6, 2011, at Ratliff Care Center. She was born Aug. 3, 1910, in Fruitland, daughter of Emil and Amelia Wilhelm Mantz. She and Charles William "Butch" Neumeyer were married Nov. 28, 1937. He preceded her in death Oct. 21, 1993...

Nora A. Neumeyer, 100, of Jackson passed away Sunday, March 6, 2011, at Ratliff Care Center.

She was born Aug. 3, 1910, in Fruitland, daughter of Emil and Amelia Wilhelm Mantz. She and Charles William "Butch" Neumeyer were married Nov. 28, 1937. He preceded her in death Oct. 21, 1993.

Nora was a member of Zion United Methodist Church of Gordonville. She was confirmed in St. James Evangelical Church in Tilsit, and loved gardening and cooking. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Loving survivors include two sons, Glenn (Pat) Neumeyer and Gerald (Vickie) Neumeyer, both of Jackson; a daughter; Brenda Neumeyer of Jackson; four grandsons, Roger (Lisa) Neumeyer of Sikeston, Mo., Brent Neumeyer of Jackson, Shawn (Jill) Neumeyer of Gordonville, and Greg Neumeyer of Jackson; and a granddaughter, Tracey (Mark) Schabbing of Perryville, Mo.

Also surviving are four great-grandsons, Colton Neumeyer of Gordonville, Austin and Noah Neumeyer of Charleston, Mo., and William Schabbing of Perryville; six great-granddaughters, Adisynne and McKynlee Neumeyer of Sikeston, Aubrey Neumeyer of Gordonville, Linden and Sydney Schabbing of Perryville and Lucy Neumeyer of Charleston.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and Ernest Mantz; and a great-granddaughter, Alysin Neumeyer.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson and from 9:30 a.m. until service time Tuesday at Zion United Methodist Church in Gordonville.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church with the Rev. Joel Kidwell officiating and Rev. Don Kuehle assisting.

Burial will follow in Zion United Methodist Cemetery in Gordonville.

Memorials may be made to Zion United Methodist Church Parsonage Fund or Cemetery Fund.
