COLUMBIA, Mo. -- The University of Missouri is creating a $1.3 million endowed lecture series named for retired U.S. Sen. Kit Bond. The Christopher S. "Kit" Bond Distinguished Lecture Series will bring nationally-known speakers to the four system campuses as well as other cities across the state. Bond joined a group of university leaders on Monday afternoon to announce the endowment in his name.
