Virginia Evelyn Feverston, 87, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born May 12, 1923, in Cape Girardeau, to Seth and Mary Eaker Craft. She and Byron Feverston were married June 5, 1942, in Cape Girardeau. He died Sept. 8, 2001.

Virginia worked for Florsheim Shoe Co. 39 years, retiring in May 1985. She was a member of Red Star Baptist Church, VFW Post 3838 Auxiliary and Eagles Aerie 3775.

Survivors include three daughters, Cheryl (Gary) Denney of Scott City, Sondra Wieland of Columbia, S.C., Rebecca (Rick) McClard of Jackson; a brother, Robert Craft of Cape Girardeau; six grandchildren, Marcie Null of Cabot, Ark., Michael Denney of Springfield, Mo., Laura LeBel of Greenville, S.C., Mark Wieland of Alpharetta, Ga., Lance and Ryan McClard of Cape Girardeau; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents, husband, a brother and a sister.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Stan Hargis officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be given to Southeast Hospice or Saint Francis Medical Center Foundation.
