Levi Cook scored 42 points and had 15 rebounds to lead Crane by Bernie 77-63 in the Missouri Class 2 boys' state championship game Saturday.

The Pirates (27-5) went on a 13-6 run early in the third quarter to pull away. The title is the first in school history.

Cook was 14 of 24 from the field and also recorded eight assists. Cody Lumpkin and Zach Akins each added 10 points for Crane, which shot 47 percent from the floor.

Jordan McGowan scored 23 points and had 12 rebounds and Sammy Walker added 15 for the Mules (28-5), which lost in the championship game for the second straight year.

Class 2 girls

Addy Roller hit four clutch free throws in the last 13 seconds as Purdy held on to beat Couch 55-49 in the Missouri Class 2 girls' state championship game.

Roller finished with 20 points, including two free throws with 13 seconds left to push the Eagles' (25-6) lead to four and seal the second title in school history.

Shelby White had 19 points and 17 rebounds for Purdy, which held a 41-29 rebounding edge. The Eagles finished the game shooting 40 percent from the floor.

Alex Hower scored 21 and Elizabeth Nessling added 17 points and nine rebounds for the Indians (26-4).

Class 3 boys

Broderick Newbill scored 17 points to lead a balanced attack as Hogan Prep Academy defeated Strafford 61-46.

The Rams (23-8) went on an 11-3 run late in the first half to go up 12 at halftime and never relinquished the lead the rest of the way. The title is the first in school history.

Maurice Mason added 12 points and two other players finished with nine. Hogan Prep finished the game 7 of 13 from behind the arc.

Jared Yarberry and Anthony Peters each scored 12 points to lead the Indians (27-4), which shot just 34 percent, including 1 of 11 from 3-point range.

Hogan Prep had defeated Charleston 86-79 in overtime in the Class 3 semifinals Thursday.

Class 3 girls

Chayla Rutledge scored 29 points and had nine rebounds as Stockton rolled to a 74-52 victory over Hermann.

The Tigers (28-3) went on a 14-3 run in the third quarter to seal their fourth title in school history, all coming in the last ten seasons.

Kaitlan Cramer scored 25 points, including 17 in the first half, and Garrett Burton added 10 for Stockton. The Tigers shot 46 percent from the floor and 7 of 14 from 3-point range.

Shelby Winkelmann scored 20 points to lead the way for the Bearcats (26-6).

Class 1 girls

Jessica Redd had 26 points and eight rebounds as Marion County avenged a 2009 title game defeat to Exeter, winning 62-38.

The Mustangs (31-0) led by six at the half and went on a 10-3 run to start the third quarter to pull away. The championship is the first in school history.

Randi Lee Plunkett scored 18 points and had eight rebounds and Devan Johnson added eight points and nine rebounds for Marion County, which shot 46 percent from the floor.

Destani Stensrud scored 14 points to lead the Tigers (24-9), who were outrebounded 43-26 for the game.
