CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Teresa Catherine Eftink, 85, of Chaffee passed away Saturday, March 19, 2011, at the family home.

She was born at New Hamburg, Mo., on Jan. 2, 1926, to the late Henry Bennett and Pauline Helen Halter Horrell. She married George Albert Eftink on April 8, 1947, and he survives.

She was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee and she was also a member of the Daughters of St. Ambrose. Teresa was a member of the Farm Bureau Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband; four sons, Leon (Mary Jane) Eftink of Cape Girardeau, Carl (Sheila) Eftink of Sikeston, Mo., Martin (Jeanette) Eftink of Chaffee and Ivan (Terri) Eftink of Willard, Mo.; three daughters, Helen (Joseph) Sander of Sikeston, Rose (Harold) Horrell of Marble Hill, Mo., and Mary (Denson) Boner of Chaffee; two brothers, Paul Horrell of Kelso, Mo., and Theon Horrell of Marble Hill; five sisters, Lucille Ackman of Cape Girardeau, Alma Eftink of Oran, Mo., Loretta Kolozy of Newport News, Va., Alice Gosche of Chaffee and Martha Shephard of Scott City; 22 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and four expected great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Horrell, and a granddaughter, Sheila Elizabeth Eftink.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church with the Msgr. Edward E. Eftink and the Revs. Glenn Eftink, Randy Tochtrop, Ralph Duffner and Norman Varone officiating.

Burial will be in St. Ambrose Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials may be sent to St. Ambrose Catholic Church or VNA Hospice of Southeast Missouri.
