The Missouri Basketball Coaches Association announced its all-state team, and nine local players were honored.

The postseason honors already started rolling in for the Scott County Central boys basketball team.

Three players from the Braves' Class 1 state championship team were named to the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association's all-state team.

Seniors Otto Porter and Stewart Johnson joined junior Trey Johnson on the Class 1 team.

Porter led the Braves with 29.5 points and 12.6 rebounds per game. The 6-foot-9 forward hit 76 percent of his shots from the field and broke the state's career final four scoring record while leading his team to its third consecutive state title.

Stewart Johnson, the Braves' point guard, averaged 13.7 points and 7.0 assists per game. Trey Johnson contributed 6.9 points and 5.0 rebounds per game as a forward.

Leopold senior Lance Seiler joined the three Braves on the Class 1 team. Seiler, a 6-2 guard, averaged 22.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 2.7 steals for the Wildcats, who fell in the Class 1 District 3 title game.

Advance senior Darren VanGennip earned a spot on the Class 2 team. VanGennip averaged 18.6 points and 4.7 rebounds for the Hornets, who lost in the Class 2 District 3 championship game.

Notre Dame senior Jacob Tolbert was rewarded with a spot on the Class 4 team. The 6-7 forward helped lead the Bulldogs to the Class 4 District 1 title game by averaging 19.6 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists.

Notre Dame senior Allyson Bradshaw, who already signed to play at Southeast Missouri State next season, was named to the girls Class 4 team. She averaged 17.1 points, 3.2 steals and 3.3 assists this season. Bradshaw also was named the SEMO Conference girls player of the year Wednesday.

Meadow Heights junior Whitney Welker helped lead her team to the Class 2 state quarterfinals, where it lost to Couch in double overtime. Welker, who averaged 15.9 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.1 steals, earned a spot on the Class 2 team.

Welker was joined on the Class 2 team by St. Vincent junior Courtney Heberlie. The 5-7 guard averaged 11.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists for the Indians, who fell to Meadow Heights in a state sectional game.
