WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ISSUE FACING THE ORAN SCHOOL DISTRICT?:

Without being on the board yet, I am not sure, although I would anticipate finances, working with the tax revenue and determining the best ways to use the funds available.

Also retaining and hiring qualified faculty, to best prepare our students for life after graduation.

WHAT IN YOUR BACKGROUND OR EDUCATION MAKES YOU QUALIFIED FOR THIS OFFICE?:

Having only a high school education, I am sure there will some aspects of the job I may not be familiar with.

I have worked for 30-plus years, and have acquired an ample supply of common sense, this I believe sometimes is lacking in some of our governing bodies, whether that be local, state or national.

I have had 30 years experience balancing a budget for a family of four, having to know when to pay which bills with the amount of money available each month. And making decisions for what extras or events to save money for.

All the time determining to spend the funds for the things my family needed, instead of the things they thought they wanted.
