GRASSY, Mo. -- The Rev. Henry R. Miller, 83, of Grassy passed away Monday, March 28, 2011, at the home of a dear friend, Barbra Halter of Delta. He was born May 16, 1927, at Advance, Mo., son of Willie Albert and Minnie Ann Shell Miller. He and Ruby Lee Brown were married Sept. 29, 1956. She passed away March 12, 1998...

GRASSY, Mo. -- The Rev. Henry R. Miller, 83, of Grassy passed away Monday, March 28, 2011, at the home of a dear friend, Barbra Halter of Delta.

He was born May 16, 1927, at Advance, Mo., son of Willie Albert and Minnie Ann Shell Miller. He and Ruby Lee Brown were married Sept. 29, 1956. She passed away March 12, 1998.

Miller had worked for the Missouri State Highway Department in the maintenance department, California Bureau of Investigation, was former pastor of At the Cross Church in Leopold, Mo., and was a member of DAV and Palmore Church.

He served his country proudly during World War II with the military police in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include a son, Lee Miller of Grassy; a daughter, Phyllis Tolleson, state of Missouri; four grandsons; a granddaughter; two great-grandsons; and two great-granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bennie Miller; and two sisters, Edith and Alma Miller.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill, Mo.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Lloyd Ray Green officiating. Interment will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill with full military honors.
