Jane Thompson

Jane E. Thompson, 79, of Jackson, Mich., formerly of Cape Girardeau passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at home, surrounded by her family.

Survivors include four sons, Roger (Judy), Ron (Deana), Randy (Casey) and Richard; a daughter, Rhonda (Rick) Woodruff; 11 grandchildren, Brooke, Matt, Tim, Amanda, Cassie, Craig, Christina, Derek, Dan, Cortney and Abbey; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Reese (Louise) Sanders; many special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richman and Alice Sanders; husband, Harold Thompson; siblings, Elmer, Velma, Lila, Garrett, George, Alice, Irene and Grace.

Jane loved garage sales and watching her favorite baseball team, the St. Louis Cardinals.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John's United Church of Christ in Jackson, Mich., with the Rev. Jay Cummings officiating.

Lauer Family Funeral Home in Jackson, Mich., has been entrusted to care for the family.
