The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission Wednesday awarded a contract for improvements on Highway 25 in Cape Girardeau County. The $1,312,000 contract went to Pace Construction Co. LLC of St. Louis. The project includes resurfacing about 16 miles of Highway 25, extending from the Diversion Channel bridge to Route O in Advance, Mo. Weather permitting, work could begin this spring, with completion anticipated by winter 2011.
