ZALMA, Mo. -- Marsha Renee West, 42, of Zalma passed away Saturday, May 7, 2011, at her home. She was born Feb. 13, 1969, at Cape Girardeau, daughter of Larry P. and Anna J. Fish VanGennip. Marsha had been a registered nurse at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, for home health care. She was a member of Brush Creek Missionary Baptist Church...

ZALMA, Mo. -- Marsha Renee West, 42, of Zalma passed away Saturday, May 7, 2011, at her home.

She was born Feb. 13, 1969, at Cape Girardeau, daughter of Larry P. and Anna J. Fish VanGennip.

Marsha had been a registered nurse at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, for home health care. She was a member of Brush Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

She was a 1987 graduate of Advance, Mo., High School, and received a nursing degree from Three Rivers Community College.

Marsha and Mick West were married May 31, 2001, at Zalma.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Megan Puchbauer West of the home; her parents, Larry P. and Anna VanGennip; two brothers, Allan VanGennip of Advance and Roger VanGennip of Zalma; and many other friends and family.

A celebration of life will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Brush Creek Church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a trust fund for the Megan Puchbauer college fund at the Bank of Advance.
