Experts with Cape Girardeau County conservation services say that agricultural losses in this county alone from recent flash flooding could amount to over $6.5 million.

A contract is let to Boren Bros., general building contractor, to construct a three-story, 24-room apartment building for Charles A. Juden at the northeast corner of Fountain and Independence streets; construction will begin next week.

E.R. Funk of St. Louis demonstrates a power lawn mower at Fairground Park for Commissioner L.H. Butler and other city officials; the machine is larger than the one now owned by the city, and the operator rides on the mower.

Dr. Joe Munday, who has a national reputation as a lecturer and who is engaged in special work for "friendless women," lectures to men only at the courthouse in the afternoon.
