Emerson to host discussion on business issues today

U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Emerson will host a financial roundtable with Cape Girardeau lenders, real estate agents and small-business owners at 8:30 a.m. today at the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce.

The group will discuss federal regulations and tax policies. Emerson is the chair of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Financial Services and General Government, which has oversight of the U.S. Treasury, many federal regulatory agencies and the IRS.
