SIKESTON, Mo. -- Work to replace the Route P bridge over Whitewater River in Scott County is expected to begin July 18, weather permitting. The road will be closed from Route W in Scott County to Route O in Stoddard County as construction is underway. Completion is anticipated in mid-September. Signs and warning devices will be in place, and motorists are urged to use caution while traveling near the area.
