Reports of an orange light in local skies this week could be the result of the International Space Station passing by. According to the NASA Sky Watch website, the International Space Station has been in view in the Cape Girardeau and Jackson area for the past two nights. It's likely to be seen again tonight, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Wednesday nights as well...

An orange light that reportedly appeared in local skies last week are likely the result of the International Space Station passing by. According to the NASA Sky Watch website, the International Space Station has been in view in the Cape Girardeau and Jackson area last week. It's likely to be seen again Sunday, Monday and Wednesday nights as well. Visibility ranges from less than one minute up to four minutes, depending on the day. Several people in the Cape Girardeau area reported seeing a strange light in the sky Thursday night. The space station is about the size of a football field and is manned by a six-member crew, according to NASA.
