School lunch prices will rise by a dime in the Jackson School District in the upcoming school year, driven by changes in federal nutrition guidelines. Standard lunch prices at the district's elementary schools will rise to $2.35, and $2.60 at the secondary schools. Adult lunch prices also will climb 10 cents, to $2.85. Elementary, secondary and adult breakfast prices will remain the same. Reduced student breakfast will cost 30 cents, and reduced student lunch will be 40 cents. New federal income guidelines for students eligible for free school meals note annual maximum earnings for a family of four at $29,055. Students from a family of four with an annual income of $41,348 or less are eligible for reduced meal prices.
