Head down to New Hamburg, Mo., this weekend for some outdoor fun and delicious food. The annual picnic is held at St. Lawrence Catholic Church and will have games, dinner and a petting zoo. Washers and a smorgasbord dinner will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today. The menu will be fried chicken, roast beef and gravy, chicken and dumplings and lots of trimmings. Cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children 6 to 12 and free for 5 and younger. The washers tournament will start at 6 p.m. today. On Saturday, a horseshoes tournament will start at 1 p.m., a talent contest will be at 2 and turtle races at 6 p.m. The children's tractor pull will follow the races.
