Jude Thomas Williams, 64, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., died Sunday, July 31, 2011, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

He was born May 22, 1947, in De Soto, Mo., to the late John Donald and Alta Lucille Christopher Williams.

Williams was a self-employed biomedical engineer. He was a volunteer fireman, member of Amateur Radio Group, and a member of Scott County EMA. Currently a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, he was a longtime member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sikeston.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

Williams and Nancee Susan Johnson were married Dec. 2, 1972, in De Soto.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tracee and Carl Bone of Charleston, Mo., Judee and Matthew Gaeta of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, John Williams of St. Louis, Joe Williams of De Soto; five grandchildren, Jackson Thomas Gaeta, Nicholas Andrew Gaeta, Samuel Everett Gaeta and Sydney Elizabeth Gaeta, all of Cape Girardeau, and Beau Everett Bone of Charleston.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, and from 9 a.m. to service time Thursday at St. Mary's Cathedral in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church, with the Rev. Tom Kiefer officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, with full military honors provided by Missouri Military Funeral Honor Guard Unit.
