McCLURE, Ill. -- Charles E. "Bull" Croy, 75, of McClure died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born June 30, 1936, in Clarksville, Tenn., to Charles and Grace Howell Croy. He and Maxine Prater were married 39 years.

Bull served his country in the U.S. Air Force in the Philippines.

He worked most of his adult life as a truck driver.

Survivors include his wife, Maxine Croy of McClure; two sons, Tommy Croy and wife Robin of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Stephen Croy and wife Laura of Jackson; a brother, Lloyd Phillips of McClure; a sister, Bobbie Woodard of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren, Tom H. Croy, Nicole Croy, Anna Nowlin, all of Murfreesboro, Austin "Audi Bird" Croy of Jackson; two great-grandchildren, Aiden and Cashtyn Croy of Murfreesboro.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Tom and Billy Joe Croy.

There is no visitation.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Rose Hill Cemetery in Thebes, Ill., with Robert Smithey officiating.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
