Paul E. Elliott Jr., 59, of Whitewater died Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born March 14, 1952, in Senath, Mo., to Paul and Julie Jean Wommack Elliott Sr. He and Kathy Pyrtle were married Aug. 30, 2010, in Jackson.
Paul was a 1970 graduate of Central High School in Cape Girardeau. He was an engineer with Burlington Northern Railroad 20 years. He was an avid fisherman and a loving grandfather.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Elliott of Whitewater; his father, Paul Elliott Sr. of Cape Girardeau; a son, Jeffrey Shane Elliott and wife Rhonda of Burfordville; two daughters, Tiffany Jean Vandeven and husband Jacob of Whitewater, Ashley Megan Dooley and husband Jonathan of Evansville, Ind.; a stepdaughter, Kristy Pyrtle of Jackson; a brother, Danny Ray Elliott and wife Nancy of Marble Hill, Mo.; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Lake Girardeau Assembly of God Church in Whitewater, with the Rev. Mark Claunch officiating.
