I don't believe you could put all of the Republican candidates together and come out with a good enough candidate to be president. They are only in it for the money. As you can see from the actions of Congress, they do not care one little bit about America, only about lining their pockets and getting the rich to foot their bills.
WHEN you turn right, accelerate into your turn. Don't leave the back end of your car in the lane so it slows everybody else down. People need to be considerate when they drive.
AS a financial adviser, it's funny to me how the Standard & Poor's downgraded the U.S. -- which is never going to default on its debt. The market took a huge swing. I would guess that somebody who worked for Standard & Poor's or knew something about Standard & Poor's made a lot of money on this, and it would not surprise me one bit if that person was a politician.
I found a TV station in the low 300s. It has been clean -- no swearing, no sex. They're bringing back the old shows like "Judging Amy." It's a wonderful station. Get away from the trash and the bad stuff.
GENE Lyons is refreshing after reading Michael Jensen, David Limbaugh and the other extremists. The only improvement on Lyons' article would be to tell the policies of Reagan that have put us in our present financial disaster.
I'M calling about the city water bill. I compared it with all my other months' bills -- and I knew they were going to raise it for the sewer plant -- but now they're charging a fuel surcharge. When did they start that? That's the first time I've had it on my bill this year. They're just always sliding something in to raise the bills.
JOHN Boehner got 98 percent of what he and the tea party wanted while the poor and the middle class got shafted as usual.
WE wonder why we don't have manufacturing jobs here. Ross Perot told us what would happen years ago. NAFTA, the North American Free Trade Agreement, that sucking sound. I can still hear it, can't you? Thank you, Democrats and Republicans, for another mistake.
