Virginia Ruth Niswonger, 90, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Advance, Mo., died Friday, Aug. 26, 2011, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born April 13, 1921, in Millersville, to William F. and Minnie Turner Niswonger.

Virginia was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.

She is survived by two nieces, Ruth Ann Meyer of Cape Girardeau, Clara Enderle of Oran, Mo.; a nephew, Bill Lenand of Rockview, Mo.; and several great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Rusby, and a sister, Ruby.

Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Niswonger Cemetery west of Millersville. The Rev. Wayne Krohe will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the Lutheran Home or Lutheran Home Hospice.
