The St. Vincent football dropped its season-opener 28-13 to Park Hills Central.

St. Vincent led 13-12 entering the fourth quarter but was outscored 16-0 in the frame.

Senior quarterback Tim Schumer had a 3-yard run in the second quarter to tie the game 6-6 at halftime.

St. Vincent then scored on a 17-yard touchdown pass from Schumer to Trent Elder in the third quarter to take its 13-12 lead.

St. Vincent will travel to Scott City at 7 p.m. Friday.
