Jackson begins road work this week

The city of Jackson will begin its annual concrete street routing and sealing program Thursday. According to a news release from the city, areas in Lakewood Estates and Bent Creek subdivisions will be the primary locations for the work. No parking is allowed on the following streets on the day of the routing and sealing operations:

* Sept. 1, 2 -- St. Andrews Court

* Sept. 6, 7 -- Litz Boulevard

* Sept. 8 -- Lakewood Drive

* Sept. 9 -- Lakeshore Drive

* Sept. 12 -- Augusta Drive

* Sept. 13 -- Bent Creek Drive

* Sept. 14, 15 -- Ridge Road from Fairway Lane to Lakewoods Drive

Work will be rescheduled for the next dry day in the event of rain. Work is scheduled to be completed by the end of September. Residents with questions can call public works director Rodney Bollinger at 243-2300.
