Jerry Isaac Davis, 74, of Scott City died Friday, Oct. 21, 2011, at his home.

He was born Oct. 17, 1937, in Fornfelt, to Cletis and Sadie Velma Nance Davis Sr. He and Linda Marie Steger were married May 20, 1967, in Scott City.

Jerry was a heavy equipment operator with Local 513 IOUE.

He served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Barbara Austin of Chaffee, Mo.; three brothers, Cletis Davis Jr. of Scott City, Denny Davis of Benton, Mo., Michael Davis of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Delores Kriz of St. Peters, Mo., Patty Bickings of Oran, Mo.; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two sisters.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, with the Rev. Jim Norris officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Memorial Cemetery.
