A Cape Girardeau man was seriously injured after he struck a deer with his motorcycle on Route Y Tuesday night. Joseph E. Melvin was taken to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau with serious injuries.
According to the highway patrol, Melvin was wearing a helmet.
