James Marberry

EAST CAPE GIRARDEAU, Ill. -- James H. Marberry, 71, of East Cape Girardeau died at 2:55 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011, in Cape Girardeau.

He was born April 7, 1940, in Cape Girardeau to Howard Andrew and Vera Hensley Marberry. He married Phyllis Ann Dunn on May 27, 1960.

James was a member of the Teamsters union. He loved riding motorcycles and was a devoted family man.

He is survived by his one son, James and Rosie Marberry II of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Teresa and Tom Robinson of Cape Girardeau, and Vera Marberry and Glenn of Caruthersville, Mo; his parents, Howard and Vera Marberry of Cape Girardeau; one brother, Richard Marberry of Kuttawau, Ky.; two sisters, Mary Ann Moore of Cape Girardeau and Valarie Allen of Leesburg, Fla.; six grandsons; other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife and one brother, David Marberry.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Crain Funeral Home, 829 N. West End Blvd., in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Pastor Ricky Hensley officiating. Interment will follow in Lindsey Cemetery in McClure, Ill.

Memorial contributions can be made to Crown Hospice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
